Chief Judges of High Courts Receive Change Management Training

Bogor | badilag.net/English (19/05/10) - After having held Sharing Workshop Program on Change Management for the Supreme Court leadership, justices and officials from echelon I, the Supreme Court’s training center now provided a similar training for chief judges of high courts from four jurisdictions.

In collaboration with Rheinald Kasali’s Change Management Consulting (Rumah Perubahan) and funded by The Asia Foundation, the training for the chief judges was opened Monday (19/5) by Chief Justice Harifin A. Tumpa.  51 participants from General, Religious, Administrative and Military Courts joined the training which lasts 3 days (17 to 19 May 2010).

 Chief Justice opens Change Management Training

CHANGE MANAGEMENT: The Supreme Court provides training on Change Management for Chief Judges of high courts from four jurisdictions. Standing: Chief Justice Harifin A. Tumpa. Sitting: Deputy Chief Justice Widayatno Sastro Hardjono and Chief of the Supreme Court Training Center Anwar Usman.

Deputy Chief Justice for the development, Widayatno Sastro Hardjono, who is also the chairman of the training committee, said the Supreme Court was in a high demand to run judicial reform and all judicial officers were urged to play an important role in realizing the changes.

Chief Judges of high courts are highly urged to play significant roles in implementing changes within their respective jurisdictions since they are the front liners of the Supreme Court in running judicial reform, executing the Court’s policies and developing judicial officers.

“We already know more or less what the changes are. But we need to deepen our understanding through this workshop,” he said as quoted by www.litbangdiklatkumdil.net.
