Silaturrahim Meeting between PTA Yogyakarta and Al-Azhar University Cairo

Sleman, pa-slemankab.go.id (02/07/10) - A number of judges of the jurisdiction of Yogyakarta High Religious Court (PTA Yogyakarta) attended the silaturrahim meeting with Professors at Al-Azhar University. They are Professor. Dr. Alwie Kholil Sayed Amin, from the Faculty of Sharia wal Qonun and Prof. Dr. Mustofa Dasuki Kaseb, Chairman of the Board of Consultants of Solah Abdullah Kamil, Center for Islamic Economic Studies of Al-Azhar University, Cairo. This time, Sleman  Religious Court was designated as the host as well as entrusted the mandate to coordinate the preparation of a event together with PTA Yogyakarta.

The event commenced at 15:00 pm was opened by Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta, Drs. H. A. Syarhuddin, SH., MH. He delivered welcome at the same time expressed his excitement on the sidelines of their busyness in attending the major event of world peace forum in a series of events of Muktamar Muhammadiyah at the Sheraton Hotel, they both were still well pleased to take the invitation to attend a meeting with the judicial members of Yogyakarta. He also expected by the visit of those experts, the judges could draw a lot of knowledge and in dialogue forum to be held judges could ask for things that were not known yet.

In the good opportunity, the first speaker, Prof. Dr. Alwie Amin reviewed of the laws of muamalah related particularly to the judiciary.

Islamic Economy, a global financial solution

In addition to aspects of Islamic law as been presented by the first speaker, was also raised about the Islamic economic solutions to help overcome the crisis that was overwhelming the world. That Islam has a solution-financial systems, empower, and fair, was revealed by the second speaker, Prof. Dr. Mustofa Dasuki Kaseb. He also delivered some basic economic pillars of Islam that serve as the passage of the Islamic economic system.

Not only providing much insight and knowledge, the professor from Cairo's Al-Azhar University also provided souvenirs, a thick law book and a work of research result of Prof. Mustosa Kaseb which were received by the Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta.
