Independence Day Ceremony Commemorating The 65th Anniversary of Republic of Indonesia in PTA Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta, PTA-yogyakarta.go.id (Tuesday, 17/08/10) - In the proclamation text contains message that must be understood and its spirit therein to be echoed in order that for all levels of society can truly be raised for their souls and awakened for their bodies in actualizing freedom that had been achieved with the long struggle full of challenges.
It was delivered by Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta, Drs. H. Syarhuddin Ahmad, SH., MH., as he read off the written message from the Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region in the flag ceremony of 65th Anniversary of Independence Proclamation.

The Independence Day commemoration ceremony this year coinciding with 7 Ramadan 1431 H was themed: "With the spirit of the Proclamation of August 17th, 1945 We Win the Second Wave of Reform for Achieving More Prosperous, Democratic and Equitable Nationality Life."
Delivered by Ahmad Syarhuddin that the theme of anniversary of the independence day connected democracy with justice and prosperity, where democracy should be aligned straight with the increase in social welfare, and law enforcement should meet the justice community.
Within the environment of Yogyakarta High Religious Court, the ceremony took place at the PTA Yogyakarta’s office yard, was attended by all employees and judges of PTA Yogyakarta, officials and staff representatives from all Religious Courts across the jurisdiction of PTA Yogyakarta.
Starting at 7:30 pm, the ceremony that was attended by around 300 participants run solemnly. Joint commemoration moment of the independence proclamation which at once became the arena of silaturrahim (familiarity gathering) of PTA Yogyakarta’s members who consist of various backgrounds did not only foster the sense of togetherness, but also raised awareness of a sense of national unity as one nation, namely the Indonesian nation.
After the ceremony, Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta continued to meet the invitation of Provincial Government to attend a series of commemoration events of the last minutes toward proclamation in Gedung Agung (Great Building). Beside Presidential Palace in Jakarta, since August 17, 1991, officially the Presidential Palace in Yogyakarta or commonly called Gedung Agung is used as the place to commemorate the last minutes toward Independence Proclamation for the public in the Yogyakarta region.
