Chairman Inaugurates New Seven High Judges
Yogyakarta, pta-yogyakarta.go.id (Monday 23/08/2010) - "The mobility for High Judge is one of the initial steps of the Supreme Court in order to realize the materialization of the Supreme Court as the noble judicial institute, as contained in the blueprint of Supreme Court’s reform ". This was said by Chairman of PTA (High Religious Court of) Yogyakarta, Drs. H. Ahmad Syarhuddin, SH., MH, who personally led the inauguration ceremony of seven High Judges transferred to High Religious Court of Yogyakarta.
Based on the Decree of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Num: 127/KMA/SK/VI/2010 dated June 28 2010, officially the seven High Judges are transferred from their own respective places to be in charge at High Religious Court of Yogyakarta. The seven High Court Judges are Drs. H. Sunarto who previously served in the PTA of Bangka Belitung, Drs. Fauzi Abbas, SH previously served at the Mahkamah Syariah (Syar'iah Court of) Aceh, Drs. H. Abdul Malik, at PTA Bandar Lampung, Drs. Hamberi Hadi SH., MH., at PTA Samarinda, Drs. Sudirman and Drs. H. Muh. Hidayat, SH., MH at PTA Palu, and Drs. H. Marjohan Syam, SH., MH at PTA Pekanbaru.
Attended by all members of PTA Yogyakarta, of the High Judges, the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, with officials of the Religious Courts across Yogyakarta Province, as well the staffs, the inauguration ceremony which began at 16:00 run simply but familiarly.
The ceremonial inauguration was continued with the introduction of each new high judge accompanied by wife and/or family.
Ahmad Syarhuddin in his speech said that this mobility should be interpreted as a refresher, as currently it is a common thing and not limited to one region only.
He continued that as one of participation forms in realizing the goals of the blueprint of the Supreme Court’s reform, High Judge should always improve quality, credibility and professionalism wherever he/she serves, so that the vision and mission of the Supreme Court on court independence, accountability and transparency on case management and information management in the future can be realized as expected.
He also expected the participation of the High Judges in programs of book review, assessment of civil law procedure and material law later on the technical guidance event planned to be held after this fasting month.
The High Judges’ inauguration ceremony ended promptly at 17:40 closed with reciting prayers by Drs. H. Agus Salim, SH., MH continued with giving congratulations from all members of PTA Yogyakarta and having communal fast breaking which also became an arena for convivial meeting with the new judges.Today in History
