Regional Work Meeting of General Courts and Religious Courts throughout Province of Yogyakarta Special Region

With the Spirit of Change to Strengthen Platform of Great Judiciary

english.pta-yogyakarta.go.id (24-26/11/10) - For three days, Wednesday to Friday (October 24 to 26), religious courts with general courts had conducted a joint regional meeting. The activity held at Hotel Grand Palace Prawirotaman in Yogyakarta was opened by the Chairwoman of Yogyakarta High Court, Hj. Nurganti Saragih, SH., MH. The meeting was aimed to disseminate the results of national working meeting of the Supreme Court held in Balikpapan on 11 to 14 in October.

It was attended too by Director of Technical Development of General Courts of the Supreme Court, Siti Nurjanah, SH., MH, and Head Bureau of Supplies of the Supreme Court, Ade Usman SH., MH. In her speech at the opening ceremony on Wednesday (24/11/10), Siti Nurjanah, reading for the written speech of Chief Justice, said that regional work meeting 2010 was a continuation of Supreme Court national meeting that was expected to be a better beginning in realizing the great judiciary.

The subjects discussed were about the reform of the bureaucracy, work discipline, the findings of Financial Inspection Board (BPK) regarding on legal costs, the assets and finances, as well as the explanation of the results of national working meeting of the Supreme Court.

On the second day of meeting of appeal level courts with the first level courts of DIY Province, religious courts and general courts set up each commission to conduct follow-up meetings for discussing and deepening subjects of each environment. On that occasion, Chairman of High Religious Court of Yogyakarta, Drs. H. Ahmad Syarhuddin, SH., MH. delivered subject before the commission of religious courts related the explanation on the results of Supreme Court national meeting. Subject delivery was continued by discussion led by Vice Chairman, Drs. H. Mansur Nasir, SH.
