Supreme Court Justice Opens Code of Judicial Conduct Orientation
The Opening of The Activity of Code of Conduct Orientation for Religious Court Judges within Yogyakarta Special Region

Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta, Drs. H. Ahmad Syarhuddin, SH., MH said that the quality and professionalism improvement of judges within the jurisdiction of religious courts of Yogyakarta is a major concern for PTA Yogyakarta. Improving the quality and professionalism, according to him is a major factor in improving the quality of service to the justice seekers community.
It was said by the number one person of the jurisdiction of Yogyakarta Religious Judicature before the judges of all religious courts within the jurisdiction of Yogyakarta Special Region, while beginning his speech at the opening of the Code of Conduct Orientation Activity for Religious Court Judges within the Special Region of Yogyakarta, on Tuesday night (05/24 / 11).
The orientation activity conducted by PTA Yogyakarta at the Hotel Inna Garuda Yogyakarta presented the main resource person, Supreme Court Justice Dr. H. Habiburrahman MHum, who represented Junior Chief Justice of Religious Courts of the Supreme Court. Habiburrahman was concurrently opened the activity to be held from 24 to 26 next. The opening ceremony was also attended by judges of appeal judges of PTA Yogyakarta and all chairmen of religious courts within the Province of Yogyakarta Special Region.
Dr. H. Habiburrahman, MHum delivered his first material on the Behavioral Guidelines and Code of Judicial Conduct. Starting his material, the Supreme Justice submitted the appeal of the Junior Chief Justice of Religious Courts of the Supreme Court on the importance for religious court judges to continuously learn and improve their level of formal education to the higher level. It was he linked to one of the ten principles of the Code of Judicial Conduct (PPH) of behaving cleverly and wisely.
"With increased quality of education of a judge, it will also improve the quality of the resulting judgment, because the education enriches wisdom and adds the basic philosophy of the judge in deciding the cases." Said the Supreme Court Justice who recently earned his doctorate.
The Principle of behaving cleverly and wisely became his introductory material when reviewing the ten principles of the Code of Judicial Conduct (PPH), namely:
1. To behave fairly;2. To behave honestly;
3. To behave Cleverly and Wisely;
4. To have Independent attitude;
5. To Have High Integrity;
6.To be Accountable;
7. To Highly Respect Self-Esteem;
8. To be Highly-disciplined;
9.To behave Humbly;
10. To have Professional Attitude.
The description of the ten principles had been being given in detail one by one by Dr. H. Habiburrahman, MHum. It was continued on the advanced matter in the first session of next day (Wednesday, 25/05/11). On the day, it was scheduled to be completed by discussions on related materials which would be guided by the high judges of PTA Yogyakarta.
