Orientation Training of Information Desk

Excellent Services Orientation Training for Information Desk Officials of Religious Courts of PTA Yogyakarta Jurisdiction

As the effort to improve service to the society, the High Religious Court of Yogyakarta (PTA Yogyakarta), Thursday, (28/10/11), held excellent services orientation training for information desk officials of religious courts throughout PTA Yogyakarta Jurisdiction. The activity which was held in a day was followed by participants from all religious courts in PTA Yogyakarta Jurisdiction, where each Religious Court sent four employees.

At 08.00 a.m, in the meeting room of PTA Yogyakarta, the activity was officially opened by the Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta, Drs. H. Ahmad Syarhuddin, SH., MH. In his speech he said that information desk is one of the information disclosure realization in religious courts which is now incessantly promoted by the Directorate General of Religious Courts as one of the priority programs to support Supreme Court bureaucracy reform.

The Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta said that the aim of this training is to increase professionalism of information desk officials in providing excellent services to the people who come to the court. "It is hoped to facilitate the society to access information they need effectively and efficiently in religious courts of PTA Yogyakarta jurisdiction," he said.

“The other function of information desk official as shown on the Decision of Directorate General of The Religious Courts Body of the Supreme Court number 0017/DJ.A/SK/VII/2011, is as the connection between the people and the court apparatuses who has important role in keeping the independence and impartiality of court,” the Chairman added.

The materials of the training were related to the decree of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia number 1-144/KMA/SK/I/2011 concerning guidelines to public information services in the court, the decree number 076/KMA/SK/VI/2009 concerning guidelines to complaint handling realization on the court institution, and the decree of the Director General of Religious Courts Body of the Supreme Court number 0017/DJ.A/SK/VII/2011 concerning guidelines to information desk services on religious courts. The participants were also given knowledge concerning management in guest acceptance, ethics and behavior of information desk official, and complaint services.

The resource persons of the training were all from PTA Yogyakarta, they were public Relations Official, Registrar/Secretary, Head of Personnel Subdivision, Deputy Registrar, Junior Registrar of Law, and Junior Registrar of Appeal of PTA Yogyakarta.

Training And Simulation of Information Desk Services

The activities of training were conducted in materials giving, discussion, questionnaire filling, and the simulation practice in receiving guest by concerned official to be evaluated.

Registrar/secretary of PTA Yogyakarta, Supardjiyanto, SH. as the prominent resource person who evaluated the questioners filling and simulation activity by the participants said that an official of information desk in addition has to have good interpersonal ability, also has to have wide knowledge in implementation of the main tasks and functions of the court, because as a front office he/she is the center of institute activities who in the guests view is the representative of an organization as a whole.

The training finished at 4 p.m was formally closed by the Vice Chairman of PTA Yogyakarta, Drs. H. Mansur Nasir, SH. In his closing speech, he expected the training of information desk officials will improve service quality to the guests, in the same manner as Islam teaches to respect and give the best services to the all guests who come.
